Senior Management Recruitment case study
The organisation & issue
A social enterprise based in London involved with health management was opening a base in Suffolk. The establishment of the Suffolk base involved complex TUPE issues and a new head of services was required to lead this operation. The Managing Director wanted PicassoHR to lead on all aspects of this recruitment including administration, interviews, setting up of the assessment centre and running it.
What PicassoHR did
- We worked closely with the Managing Director to gain a full brief of the issues and their requirements.
- Checked through the vacancy advertisement for accuracy and compliance with employment legislation.
- Received all applications electronically, of which there were over 40.
- Conducted an initial short listing and discussed the candidates with the Managing Director.
- Responded to candidates who were unsuccessful at the first round.
- Developed challenging assessment centre exercises, with step by step timing (morning & afternoon sessions), relevant paperwork including scoring sheets. PHR also hired the venue and set it up.
- Out of the 10 candidates who went through the assessment, 3 were shortlisted for interview.
- Interview invites were sent out and were conducted at PicassoHR’s premises.
- Followed up references for the successful candidate and offer of employment was made.
Outcome
The successful applicant accepted the offer.
